Gardening can be great fun no matter your level of knowledge. Agreed there's often a little work involved too but at the end of the day you can sit back, relax and enjoy the fruits of your labour.
Most gardens look best if they contain a combination of bedding plants, shrubs, climbers, herbaceous perennials and trees so that there is height structure and colour throughout the year. Even if you've only a small patio or balcony you can still grow plants in containers and there are plenty of patio plants to choose from.
There was a time when if you wanted to grow vegetables the only option was to grow them from seed. Many are now also available as vegetable plants which takes away much of the uncertainty, but there are still things you should know and we hope our articles and advice can help you achieve spectacular results.
